hookah
Is there anything more chill than hanging in a hookah bar? We didn’t think so.

Hookah bars are always a crowd pleaser, mainly because you get to try delicious flavors of shisha while sipping on a cocktail or two. They can be found literally all over the world, so we’ve compiled a list of some of our own favorites we recommend you check out in your travels.

Soho – BARCELONA
This gem is hidden away in the streets of one of Barcelona’s most popular tourist destinations, El Raval. Soho’s open front entrance and “leave your shoes at the door” policy really communicates their laid-back atmosphere.

Sciam – ROME
If you ever find yourself in Italy consider Sciam your first stop. This quiet, laid-back hookah bar is great for those looking for a break from all of the history, art, and food Rome has to offer. It’s also close to a bunch of tourist destinations for when you feel like getting back to the touristy stuff.

Alarabi – BERLIN
In the heart of Friedrichshain, Alarabi is Berlin’s best hookah bar. Open from 10am until 1am all week long, there’s no excuse not to stop by. It’s also located right across the street from the famous Boxhagener Platz, if you’re in the mood for a little flea market shopping after.

Nomads – AMSTERDAM
On the main street of the Jordaan District, in Central Amsterdam, you’ll find Nomads. More of a night out location, Nomads has belly dancers and a resident DJ to entertain you while you indulge in some tasty shisha.

Al Feena Shisha Café – LEICESTER
Al Feena Shisha Café gives you a different experience than most hookah bars. Their contemporary layout, wifi, televisions, and burgers and milkshakes menu make it stand out from the rest of the pack.

Beirut Nights – LONDON
If you’re looking for the best shisha in London, Beirut Nights is the place to go. Don’t believe the hype? Maybe some of the top footballers in the UK who regular the bar can convince you.

Tangierino Restaurant & Koullshi Lounge – BOSTON
This 2-storey bar offers the best of 2 worlds. Upstairs they have some of the best Moroccan cuisine in the city, while down below offers some of the best shisha in the city. Koullshi’s shisha is a bit pricier than most bars at $30 per flavor, but some might argue their more upscale atmosphere and nightly belly dancers justify the higher price.

Ambrosia Cafe – CHICAGO
The Chicago city life can be pretty stressful at times. With a casual, relaxing, coffee shop-esque environment, Ambrosia Cafe is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Cabana Pool Bar – TORONTO
This place embodies a mini vacation to Mexico in the heart of downtown Toronto. It’s a little pricey with $10-20 cover, and an added $20 if you want to use the pool (of course you do) but we say it’s well worth the price. The high quality food is from Oliver & Bonacini, and the signature cocktail, TOjitio, is delicious. It doesn’t get much better than smoking some poolside shisha in the summer sun, but there is an added bonus – you can buy our products there too!

Al Dar Restaurant – MONTREAL
Al Dar is right around the corner from Concordia University and the infamous Centre Bell, and a short walk from LaSalle College. They don’t serve any alcohol, but who needs alcohol when you have great shisha.
